5. What is the minimum order quantity?
Both the Joey Clamp and the Joey Clamp & Cutter are packaged 125 per case.  The minimum order quantity is one case.

6. Is the Joey Clamp a go-home device?  
Yes, if displacement of the umbilical cord occurs at the hospital or physicians clinic, the family may keep the Joey Clamp (the baby-side clamp), with its cute Koala bear face.  If displacement occurs at home, the Joey Clamp must be separated from the cord and simple cleaning instructions for the Joey Clamp must be followed.

7. Can the Joey Clamp be re-opened?
Yes, the Joey Clamp and Joey Clamp & Cutter both lock closed and can only be re-opened with a small tool or hemostat, as commonly used in delivery rooms. The Joey Clamp does not have to be broken to be unlocked.

8. What if the clamp does not close?
In the case of an abnormally large or deformed cord, a hemostat may be
used to initially clamp the cord with the Joey Clamp placed on the the cord
following its transection allowing removal of the hemostat.

9. How is the cord blood collected using the Joey Clamp & Cutter?
After clamping and separation of the Joey Clamp, the umbilical cord may
be cut proximal to the cutting unit, dropping it into the kick-bucket. The sample is then collected from the open vessels of the cord. If a cord blood sample is needed, the maternal clamp may be left in place and another clamp is placed proximal to it at the desired section.

10. What if the cutting unit latches but the Joey Clamp itself does not?
A hemostat may be placed between the Joey clamp and the infant and then
cord may be cut. The cord can then be re-clamped with another Joey Clamp.

Indications for Use:

The indications for use of the Joey Clamp & Cutter are to simultaneously
clamp and cut the umbilical cord.

The Joey Clamp & Cutter is to be sold only by or on order of a physician.

Instructions for Use: Joey Clamp

1. Place the cord centrally aligned inside the clamp and squeeze the clamp together until securely latched closed.

2. After clamping, inspect the Joey Clamp for secure position and closure.

3. This product is for single use only.

Instructions for Use: Joey Clamp & Cutter

1. Pick up the Joey Clamp/Cutter and position its' purple side toward
infant.

2. Position clamp 1 to 5 centimeters away from infant's abdomen and place
the cord centrally-aligned inside the clamp/cutter.

3. Squeeze the two wings of clamp/cutter together until secure.  The clamp
is now securely fastened on the infant.

4. After clamping, inspect the unit for secure position and closure of clamps.

5. Push out Joey infant clamp from cutter/clamp..
